Giving a little more creative juices!

Hello Blogging World! After showing my pictures to Kathy, from a camping/hiking and beach trip, she suggested I make cards, posters, regular pictures, etc. and try to sell them. After contemplating it I decided I would come up with a way to do it. While taking pictures this past Saturday morning I came across this idea, Project SLR. I've wanted an SLR camera for a LONG time now and have not taken the time or effort to save money to buy one. Honestly I haven't found a REAL reason to have an SLR because I'm into photography but not seriously. If this seems to work (and maybe it will and maybe it won't) the money from the sold photos will go solely to a Nikon or a Canon, I have not set my heart on one or the other (although I loved and lost my first camera which was a Nikon, so I have partial feelings).

I haven't completely decided on methods of doing this whole thing so bare with me while I try to conquer school! I most definitely would like to hear from you the things that you're looking for in a picture. Most of my pictures are nature based, LOTS of sunsets! If you want to see how I photograph something a certain way you can ask me to take a picture of a specific thing and I'll post it. On top of this I'm not sure how well the photographs will turn out in large print form but you don't know until you try!

Honestly, I have to say the SLR is not the main reason for this blog being started. There are many people who have creative juices flowing through them that allow me to take the pictures that will be featured on this blog. I want to be able to provide that to someone. I want those reading to take whatever inspiration they get from looking at my photography and do something, create something that may inspire someone else. Keep the creative juices flowing!
I will post photos as soon as I have time to figure out how to work this thing =] until then:

FINALLY an update =]

I finally have a little time to sit down and make a new entry with some of the amazing photos I've taken with my graduation gift. An Update first, however. School is finally over and I have graduated from The University of Arizona with my Bachelor's of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Educational Psychology.  I recently was hired on at a hospital as a Hearing Tech (or an Audiologist Assistant). I have only been there a few weeks but I really do enjoy the work I have learned so far. The Audiologist rock and I have the privilege of working along side a retired U of A professor two days a week. =] The pictures above and below are my graduation cap. I decorated it with stars and a 'T'. I Received a SLR Nikon for my graduation gift. I almost cried from happiness! I am ecstatic at the picture quality and the abilities it has with the lens that were bought with it. I have a regular le...

Fact this was done in mostly one day and then some without fully realizing it; also this was done while watching Road House. Day 3: Mail I love getting it but it's mostly junk =/ I don't have a picture of mail BUT I have a crafty idea for junk mail Junk mail snowflakes Day 4: Someone Who Makes You Happy There are lots of people who make me happy, I don't know if I could narrow it down to one sole person. There are 4 people that if they were not in my life, I wouldn't be me. I only have a picture of 3 of the 4 so here we go. From Left to Right, Saundra-my sister, Kyle- my boyfriend and Melissa-my better half. Not pictured is my third counterpart Jennifer Day 5: tiny I can actually make these stars, though this picture is not mine. I make them at work an...
