IT's HERE! =]

I've been working on this post for way too long! BUT I wanted to get it just right! anyway, my canvas picture came! I'm so excited. It looks awesome but now I wish I had spent the money on the 14x16, or whatever is the next size up.
Here's a picture of the picture LOL

Now in the honor of all the rain we've had here in Tucson lately, I thought I'd give a show of thanks to my wonderful Rain Boots or Galoshes! I bought these beauties for $5 at Kohl's on clearance about 4 years ago. Everyone thought I was crazy. Everyone has a pair! I guess I'm a trend setter =P

They have come in handy many times. I even bought another pair but I always seem to wear these ones...

Valentine's Day!
I know this is a little past due but today was the first day I have been able to take pictures. For Valentine's Day, instead of receiving a bouquet of roses, I received this orchid plant. I have yet to re-pot it but I need to do so soon!

This is a close up of one of the blooms
I noticed once I moved into the sun, the petals are actually kind of shimmery. I don't know how well this picture shows it but I tried...

There are some buds that are trying to bloom. I thought it was cool to kind of see the inside of the flower before it actually has fully blossomed.

The backside also looks intriguing. I often see things with my eyes and then the camera never really does me any justice. I guess that just gives me more motivation to work for that SLR.

The contrast between the blue and the colors of the bloom here I really liked. I got this picture by laying on the ground and looking up. I often like getting pictures from the ground up. Why you may ask? For me there is curiosity of what the world looks like from an unnatural angle, to everyday anyway. I think we often take looking at objects to literally and sometimes some people just need a fresh angle to get the creativity flowing again.

  1. I would pay one million dollars for the canvas. And some of those flower pictures look like vaginas, but (does sign for whatever) I love orchids :) So pretty.

July?

When did that happen?!?! My life has been a chaos. Decided to leave my current job and find new employment in, wait for it.....San Diego! or Phoenix, where ever I can find a job first really. In that time I've be preparing to train the newbie for my job and get things organized so they aren't so hectic when I leave. I also had to plan for vacation time off. Then had to help the roomie pack up things and move. THEN it was July 1! ::shakes head:: Why does time never seem to be lapsing when you are young and then the older you get the faster the world spins? One theory I have is that we learn to tell time better every year we are alive and as a kid you don't have deadlines like adults. I'm grateful for the speedy days though when I work!

Photos! YAY!!!!

These are the pictures I decided to use for my first attempt at copyrighting stamps. The only way to avoid the 4 max picture right now is doing the slide show. If you have any questions, leave me a comment or email me. I will title the photos to more easily identify which one you may be asking about. Hope you enjoy!

FINALLY an update =]

I finally have a little time to sit down and make a new entry with some of the amazing photos I've taken with my graduation gift. An Update first, however. School is finally over and I have graduated from The University of Arizona with my Bachelor's of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Educational Psychology.  I recently was hired on at a hospital as a Hearing Tech (or an Audiologist Assistant). I have only been there a few weeks but I really do enjoy the work I have learned so far. The Audiologist rock and I have the privilege of working along side a retired U of A professor two days a week. =] The pictures above and below are my graduation cap. I decorated it with stars and a 'T'. I Received a SLR Nikon for my graduation gift. I almost cried from happiness! I am ecstatic at the picture quality and the abilities it has with the lens that were bought with it. I have a regular le...
